LIMOBLAZE: Aside school and obviously music, I do a bit of leisure writing, I love to play basketball, and am currently undergoing self-cinematography lessons too. That is, I teach myself how to shoot and edit videos.
ZADDY: TELL US ABOUT YOUR KIND OF MUSIC?
LIMOBLAZE: If you call my music Christian, you would be right, if you call it Hip hop, you would be right, so basically my music can fit into any brand and am not ashamed to bear the name tag, “Christian rapper” so you can as well classify my music as Christian Hip hop, but surely my music is meant for all and not just Christians.
ZADDY: HOW DO YOU COMBINE YOUR EDUCATION AND MUSIC?
LIMOBLAZE: Honestly, it ain’t easy because music and school just don’t don’t go together, but at the end of the day it all balls down to time management.
ZADDY: WHEN DID YOU START DOING MUSIC PROFESSIONALLY?
LIMOBLAZE: I started recording professionally in 2012 after I left high school
ZADDY: WHY GOSPEL?
LIMOBLAZE: I believe that our talents are gift from God, and using it to His glory is our gift back to Him. And music to me basically is a means to express one’s self, so basically if I ain’t talking bout s*x, drugs and money, I gotta be talking about what’s real to me, which is God’s love, mercy and grace.
MAKHITS: WHAT DO YOUR COLLEAGUES IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS THINK ABOUT YOU BEING A GOSPEL ARTISTE?
LIMOBLAZE: I must confess most times, it’s hard to fit in but then I got to discover that I don’t really need to fit in, all I need to be is myself and what I stand for, which is ministry, and folks in music business have gotten to understand that am running my own lane and they all show respect and love for this ministry.
ZADDY: WHICH GOSPEL ARTISTE(S) DO YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION FROM?
LIMOBLAZE: In one word, Lecrae

LIMOBLAZE: Honestly been busy with other stuffs and what we have on ground at the moment ain’t up to my taste.
ZADDY: WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE ISSUE OF GOSPEL ARTISTS FEATURING ON A SONG WITH SECULAR/WORDLY ARTISTS, OR MINISTRING IN SHOWS THAT ARE NOT GOSPEL/ CHRISTIAN BASED?
LIMOBLAZE: That is one issue I won’t like to be definite about, but I would summarise by saying if the heart is right, then it’s cool!
ZADDY: WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST MOMENTS, SINCE YOU STARTED DOING MUSIC?
LIMOBLAZE: I’ve not really had my best moments yet, but obviously I’ve had lots of great times, especially times when I get messages and become close friends with those I looked up to and only used to see on Tv, it actually meant progress to me.
ZADDY: WHO IS THAT ARTISTE YOU RESPECT A LOT AND HOLD IN HIGH ESTEEM? AND TELL US WHY.
LIMOBLAZE: In Nigeria, that would be Frank Edwards because he’s surely consistent in what he does and consistency is something I admire a lot, also he tries to set the bar higher every day, with mainstream sounds and visuals, he’s not just the everyday gospel artiste we know.
ZADDY: HAVE YOU WORKED WITH ANY TOP-GUN IN THE INDUSTRY BEFORE, IF YES, PLEASE TELL US WHO AND HOW WAS THE EXPERIENCE LIKE?
LIMOBLAZE: Yea I’ve worked with Gameman beatz jockey, he’s one of Nigeria’s gospel front liners, I also worked with American Christian rapper Los who now bears the name Loso of CHE, I worked with Zimbabwe’s biggest Christian Emcee Ill ceey who also now bears his government name, I worked on the official remix of UK’s award winning gospel rapper’s hit single DFMB and am still tryna get some big collaborations done, but in all, it just feels awesome working with artiste whom you respect their art and who reciprocates that respect to your own art, and most times, it helps to bring you to a newer and larger audience.
ZADDY: WHAT IN THE NIGERIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY ARE YOU PROUD OF AND WILL LIKE TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH?
LIMOBLAZE: Am proud of the fact that our Nigerian artiste are beginning to create international relations and taking our music to the international market, it’s an achievement to be proud of.
ZADDY: HEHE, MOST CELEBRITIES ALWAYS WANTS TO SHY AWAY FROM THIS QUESTION, BUT PLEASE TELL US, ARE YOU SINGLE AND SEARCHING OR HOOKED?
LIMOBLAZE: Hehehe I saw that coming… I am totally single, am not searching and I might remain single for a while unless cupid acquires some super powers and shoots an arrow my way because am not ready for a relationship right now.
ZADDY: HOW MUCH DO YOU MEAN YOUR LYRICS ON THE TRACK “I GAT NO REGRET” – WHERE YOU SAID YOU DON’T NEED THE MONEY, YOU DON’T NEED THE FAME AND ALL?
LIMOBLAZE: Now before I go to tell you I mean every bit of it, let me throw some light on it, what I was saying on that track is, money is good, fame is also good, as a matter of fact I would love to be rich and famous, but there’s something that is more important to me than money and fame, and that’s eternal life in Christ Jesus, so it’s Christ Jesus first in my life and if there’s ever a reason to choose, then I don’t need the money and fame, all I need is Jesus.
ZADDY: That’s deep man… Nice!!!
ZADDY: DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ANY OF THE FEMALE ARTISTES IN THE MUSIC/ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY?
(If yes kindly lets know who)
LIMOBLAZE: Yes, not Nigerians tho, my celebrity crush used to be Ariana Grande when she was much younger, calm and innocent looking but that crush died, now it’s actually shifting to gospel pop star Jamie Grace but at the end of the day, it’s just a crush.
